Morse

A CW channel read as text at whatever speed it was sent, including the beacons that identify a repeater or a transmitter site.

Morse is still how a repeater identifies itself, how a propagation beacon announces its callsign and how a large part of the amateur bands operate. The decoder follows the sending speed rather than being told it.

Text lands in the message view with everything else carrying words, which is the point: a beacon identifier and a pager message are the same kind of record.

What comes out

  • The decoded text
  • Words per minute, as measured
  • The channel and the level it was heard at
